Protocols

The "Add Device by Protocol" feature in Shifu Cloud allows users to integrate IoT devices using various communication protocols. This functionality supports diverse IoT ecosystems, providing a flexible, Kubernetes-native method to configure, deploy, and manage devices across multiple protocols, enabling seamless device integration regardless of specific communication standards.

Users can follow a guided process to input essential device details, configure relevant API parameters, and deploy their devices within Shifu’s Kubernetes environment, where they can monitor and manage devices efficiently.

With this feature, Shifu Cloud supports streamlined, protocol-agnostic device management tailored to a wide range of IoT requirements.

At the top right corner of the Device API tab and select "+ Add Device", then select "Protocol".

Use Protocol

Currently, Shifu Cloud supports the following protocols:

HTTP
MQTT
OPC UA
TCP
LwM2M

Select the protocol of the device you want to connect to.
